I know, I know: Enough with the Red Sox already. Sorry. It’s been less than 24 hours since they were eliminated, and I’m taking it surprisingly hard. I used to make fun of people who became overly enmeshed with a professional sports team … and I am now the poster child for that very condition. Go figure.

I hope he gets to see them win many more championships, and that he doesn’t suffer too much heartache at the hands of a team that spent 86 years torturing its fans before winning it all twice in four seasons.
