The Camera RAW experiment continues.
Another shot from the ice-and-snow-covered parking area I used as my first location for shooting in RAW. Jon Armstrong was right: RAW photos can withstand far more abuse in Photoshop than hi-res JPEGs. I’m anxious to give it a try with some human subjects. Meanwhile, though, I figure I might as well make the most of the natural beauty that abounds right now … because the fact that it’s nice to look at is about the only upside to living on a polar ice cap for four months.
Did I mention it’s winter here? Oh, okay, good. Just checking.

I need to use RAW more often, mainly to make up for my lack of white balancing skill.
Excellent shot–makes me want to convert to RAW as well. It’s always great to get inspired from a wonderful shot. THANKS!
Dan: If it wasn’t for iPhoto’s “Temperature” setting, most of my photos would be useless thanks to my ineptitude with the white balance.
Nando: My pleasure. Thanks for the compliment.
