Short and sweet

My sweetie

I’m sitting on the couch with Jayna last night during the evening ritual known as “Last Show” when she suddenly, out of nowhere, turns her head away from the TV, looks into my eyes and initiates the following exchange:

“Daddy, I love being your child.”

“Awww, thank you, honey. I love being your daddy.”

Then, as if that wasn’t cute enough to make fuzzy pink bunnies and pixie dust shoot out of my nose, she adds:

“And that makes my heart smile.”

And that, my peeps, is why Daddy is willing to put up with shit like Baby Alive Tink & Poops.

Ah, I see she has already learned the art of what used to be called “feminine wiles.” And I see you have fallen for those wiles… hook, line, and sinker!

Milissa: Yeah, if she decides to ask me for a horsie, I’m screwed.

Licha: Yep. Gotta take what you can get.

TheOtherJennifer: I agree about the cuteness, and I’m glad you enjoyed the BATP story. :)

Your daughter is seriously cute and her BATP seriously disturbs me.

I popped over from Bossy to see your snow pictures. I have some picnic table pictures that look exactly like that. I titled them Why Little Miss Sunshine State Moved From Cape Cod To Orlando.

    She is a.dor.a.ble.
But seriously, you had better watch ’cause when she decides she wants something you are so going to be putty.
When I was a kid, I had a simple and much smaller doll that peed. It was my FAVORITE. I also had 4 older brothers, and they rewired it (re-threaded the plastic tube and made some new holes) so that it peed out its butt.
I never forgave them for that, and I can’t imagine wanting a doll just because it defecated….

I read all about BAT&P and thought WOW I want a baby of my own. Maybe just maybe. I could have my own BAT&P and then it hit ME that is what having friends with kids is for I buy them that stuff and sit back and laugh and laugh MWHAHAHA. Because as long as it is not me it’s funny as hell. Which of my friends kids has a birthday coming up? I have a new gift idea Thanks!

Little Miss Sunshine State: I agree with you about the cuteness, as well … and, yeah, I can definitely see the attraction to Florida right about now.

    Belle: Indeed I do. :)

Mb: Yes, I think she is, too. :) And I’m sure you’re right about her cuteness being a lethal combination for me when combined with a request for something she wants. (And your brothers sound twisted. But funny.)

Ferngoddess: Happy to help. Lemme know how it goes for your friends.
