As in, “Mother Nature, please pucker yours up and plant them on either my left or right ass cheek; your choice.”
It’s snowing outside. Again. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Ahem. Sorry. I’m a bit loopy from all this here winter and such.
Wonder Woman brought these home from the grocery store today, placed them in a vase, and placed that vase on the stovetop, beneath the light that lives on the underside of the over-the-range microwave. That light most directly illuminated this particular bud, which I thought would make for a lovely picture. And it does, doesn’t it?
Now if only we could fast-forward to the part where the tulips are actually growing out of the ground in my yard instead of hibernating indoors like the rest of us …

Such a beautiful photo. I at first was all smiles for you thinking well it can’t be that cold and snowy now if the tulips are growing… at least your stove is a warm and happy spot.
Aw crap. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and we’re getting dumped on again, too. My sister was having “Ladies Night” tonight – six 50 something women, all of whom have known each other since highschool. We re-connected a year ago after three decades (for some of us) of being apart. We manage to get together about four times a year and the $^&%@ weather forced us to cancel tonight. I repeat. CRAP!!
Nice tulip picture, though.
Alison: Thanks for the compliment on the photo. I always love it when I get one that surprises even me. Thank god for hi-tech camera equipment. And, yeah, unfortunately, the whole “Look! Tulips! It’s spring!” thing was just an illusion.
Frannie: That sucks. Sorry your plans got munched. (And thanks for the compliment on the photo.)
