Deep freeze

Deep freeze

For all of you comedians who keep leaving comments about how it’s 80 degrees where you are right now, and therefore won’t have a clue what you’re looking at: The black thing there is the business end of an ice scraper/snow brush used for removing ice and/or snow from one’s automobile windows … and there was plenty to remove this morning.

After removing the ice and snow, I placed the scraper/brush atop the (ancient and rotting) wooden fence you see here, with the handle leaning against the house. A couple hours later, this is what it, and the wire mesh upon which it rested, looked like.

The ice is spreading, coating everything in its path. I fear it will come indoors soon and get us in our sleep.

This is not winter; it’s a hostile alien takeover.

Put up the tinfoil on the windows so they can’t steal your thoughts. Dude, that totally sucks, especially after the 72 degree day we just enjoyed in Denver (insert sarcastic laughter soundtrack)

I’ll refrain from relaying our current temperature where I live now (the face of the ever-lovin’ SUN) because it would do nothing but cause you deep pain. What a crap winter you guys are having this year!…like the 1970s all over again, when we used to literally be snowed in – as in, cannot open doors or windows to get out. All I can say is…um…hang in there, spring’s coming? As if you haven’t heard that too much lately??

      Lynn: Karma’s a bitch, sister.

      Ferngoddess: Settle down there.

reen: Someday, I’ll spend May through Christmas here in New England, and then do the remainder in Sedona. That day is a long way off. Yes, this winter has largely sucked.
