“You don’t bring me flowers …”

Photo of the Day for March 13, 2009

You don't bring me flowers ...

The whole tulip thing went so well, I figured I’d move on to something a little sassier.

I’d like this shot even better if I had thought to move that other little flower in the top left corner out of the way … and I didn’t realize until I was prepping the photo on the computer that the aforementioned little flower snarfed a bunch of pollen onto the rose petals. Let’s just pretend that it makes the photo more interesting, shall we?

Wonder Woman was commenting the other night that she missed the days when I used to come home from work with flowers for her … which was a much more frequent event back when I used to walk past a florist’s stand every evening on my way to the train station.

The whole work-from-home arrangement I (so fortunately) have now makes it far less likely that I’ll cross paths with a florist at the end of the workday.

But let it not be said that I don’t know how to take a hint … even when it’s delivered with such subtlety.

  2. Awww…I love that! I use to get fresh flowers every week from DH when we dated. It all stopped when we got married. He says now that he already won me over, he doesnt have to work at it so hard! HA! But i do find it hard to spend good money on flowers that will die when I have a family to support. I guess it’s double edged! ;o)
