Zans hands

Zan’s hands

My mother-in-law, a.k.a. Zan’s grandmother, a.k.a. M-M, is a potter, and has converted the basement of her home into a pottery studio.

You know what’s really cool when you’re five years old? What’s really cool is when your grandmother has a pottery studio in her basement.

I just love it when kids get their creative juices going! Hopefully pottery becomes a passion for your boy!

Too cool! Hoping to turn my basement into a pottery studio someday…yeah, when my 4 children grow up and move out…like 15 years from now. It is an amazing lesson that your son is learning – that his influence (the pressure and movement of his own hands) can create something useful and/or beautiful. Kudos to M-M for giving her grandchildren such an experience!

Just linked to your blog from Pioneer Woman’s blog for the first time today. I have to say I’m quickly becoming hooked. This picture is incredible. I am imagining all the fun things you could do in Photoshop! Make everything black and white except for his hands – fun! Anyway, glad I found your blog and photo of the day.
