As mentioned on my captivatingly awesome “About” page, Wonder Woman is the clinical director of a non-profit, partially state-funded program that provides services to children on the autism spectrum, and since we live in society that seems to prefer incarcerating and/or institutionalizing people rather than providing them with proactive resources, her program has to do things like hold fundraisers in the hopes of making up for a microscopic smidgen of the tens of millions of dollars that the state legislature is planning to cut from human services programs, including programs that provide services to children on the autism spectrum.

Hey, who put this soapbox here, and how did I end up standing on top of it?

All of this, of course, logically leads to yet another flower picture. Stay with me.

So the fundraiser took place tonight, and after scrambling to finish my day-job workload earlier than normal in order to attend, I went and met WW at the event, where we spent the evening. The scrambling-to-finish-my-day-job-workload thing and the attending-the-fundraiser thing meant no time for the working-on-my-blog thing.

Which brings us to the present moment, 11:06 p.m. ET, and gosh golly gee, am I ever tired—but I can’t go to bed without updating my Photo of the Day feature, because what about my adoring fans? And yet, I didn’t take any interesting photos today. Whatever shall I do?

Oh, I know! I will yet again tap into the reservoir of awesome shots Wonder Woman took during last month’s excursion to Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania.

Thus, more flowers. Enjoy.

I hope the fundraiser was a success! And you can stand on a soap box any day especially about such an important cause. Beautiful picture WW rocks.

I couldn’t be in more support of programs and fundraisers that support children on the autism spectrum. Being a mother of a child with PDD(nos), I can vouch for the fact that without such programs, our children would simply fade into the background and the thought of that makes me want to scream.
