Fenway

Fenway panorama

This is actually two or three (I can’t remember) separate shots that I stitched together in Photoshop.

I caught this image back in April of last year, but I haven’t had a whole lot of downtime for taking pictures this week, so I thought I might as well share this one, since, as I recall, it took me some time to create.

Last night, the Sox hit five home runs while on their way to defeating the Toronto Blue Jays. Team catcher and captain Jason Varitek (my favorite player, in case you were wondering) hit not one, but two home runs, and David “Big Papi” Ortiz finally remembered how to knock a ball out of the yard, too. Four of the five home runs occurred in the same inning.

And I missed the whole thing.

Because I’ve spent so many evenings working on this blog in recent months, Wonder Woman got herself hooked on “American Idol” … and last night was the season finale (which I don’t need to tell you, since every living organism in the known universe apparently watches this show) … so the Sox? They weren’t on my T.V.

I’m sure I’ll see their next extra-innings loss from beginning to end, though.

Just feel lucky that you have the opportunity to watch to the Sox! Living out here in California I have to go to the bar to watch the games. And since my BF is NOT a baseball fan (and I find that most Californians are not…) he doesn’t like me going out to the bar several nights a week by myself…I don’t know why? :)
Oh, and I HATE American Idol!! Thank god its over. Between that and Dancing with the Stars, I don’t know which one is worse.

I feel your pain. The only thing I haven’t seen live at a baseball game is a grand slam. I missed one because my wife had me standing in a concession line for an inning and a half for some damn cheese fries.

I don’t watch American Idol. Last year when we were in KS that was all we heard because one of the contestants was from there. And he won! So it was American Idol and David Cook on the news daily. I just refuse to be one of the sheep.

Hahah the game was on my tv until American Idol started! lol But I was nice enough to switch over when we finally hit live commercials. lol
Although pleased that Big Papi can finally swing the bat again, my husband was disapointed that the Jay’s lost…
