On our way to and from daycare, we pass a seafood restaurant that has been there for as long as I can remember, and it used to be gray and dingy and blah.
And then someone painted a mural on it.
I have a special treat for you today, my friends. Today, I am going to pull back the curtain and let you see what goes on behind the scenes of my Photo of the Day feature … the careful planning, the diligent preparation, the deep introspection. (You might wanna grab something to write with.)
Get ready, because you are about to breathe rarified air.
(I feel like that magician who reveals how all of his tricks are accomplished.)
Alright, here we go:
I needed something to take a picture of, and as I was driving by this restaurant, I said, “Hey, that’ll do. I’ll take a picture of that.”
“Make sure you get the diver in it,” said Zan.
So I did.
Voila.
Oh, and then I titled it “Diver Down” because that also is the name of a Van Halen album, and do I need to tell you the Van Halen story again? I didn’t think so.
Any questions?

Great photo Zan! Have a great weekend and Happy father’s day!
Great pic! I believe every ‘blah’ surface should be decorated. Especially brick walls!!
Thanks for all the chuckles… please keep it up
I don’t mind the VH story – tell it over and over – I’m a VH lover!!! ;o)
Hmm. Better than my inspiration photo of basil. How many drowned plants can I photograph this week?
PS. Congratulations on Examiner post and link!
