Frost

Frost

One of the only positive things about sinking into the dark and dreary morass of fall and winter is that many photographic opportunities not present at any other time of the year suddenly present themselves. With any luck, I’ll be able to stay focused on such things and avoid developing full-blown Seasonal Affective Disorder.

You know what’s even cooler looking than these blades of grass adorned with frost? The shot I captured of the blades of grass on which the frost had melted. Something to look forward to for tomorrow.

Can you send a little frost towards Arizona? We’re literally melting here. A little relief will be very welcome.

–>It’s been cold at the beach all weekend and I heard it was going to be 70F today so I put my not quite 3 year old in shorts and packed him up in the car this a.m. Then I realized it was a little chilly…40 degrees chilly. Oops.

Well, this is a hopeful sign. It would appear the wackos can’t be holding your feet (and other parts) to the fire if you’re able to photograph frost. Here in Alaska it’s a balmy 46 degrees ABOVE zero, and no snow yet.

Is. That. Frost? Sweet. Beautiful. Frost covered blades of grass? Oh, how I envy you! We just had a cool front blow through which yielded temperatures in the 60/70′s for 1 day! One. Day! People are actually overjoyed that it was only 85 degrees today! Please, photograph snow, frost, trees with leaves any color except green….PLEASE!
