Yes, I know I’ve subjected you to quite a few flower photos in the past, but listen: if there are roses around, and I’m holding a camera, I can’t resist. When you suck at photography as badly as I do, and you have something of which you can take an almost guaranteed visually pleasing picture, you go with it.
And I don’t know if it’s because I’m still saturated in estrogen from my Mom 2.0 experience, but the dozen roses shown here? While shooting them, I realized that I really, really like roses. A lot. And ponies. And ballet. And sparkly, strawberry-flavored lip gloss.
OK, not so much on the ponies and the ballet and the lip gloss. But roses? I dig ‘em.

Wow, I am so glad you were kidding about the lip gloss, I’ve always thought of you as more of a grape flavored kind of guy.
Ok, so I totally needed these tonight. Thank you. I know, I’m a total stranger, and they’re virtual flowers, but thank you. It’s been far to long since I’ve been given any – even the virtual kind – and they’re lovely.
P.S. Glad you were kidding about the sparkly lip gloss. We would’ve had to do an estrogen intervention if you hadn’t retracted that statement.

My Nan had lots of rosebushes in her garden and I like their fragrance (and in the case of Turkish Delight, taste, too). Daffodils are another fave, being the national flower of my motherland .

meh. I don’t do roses. I like daisies and daffodils. My husband has it soooooo easy. Because I don’t have a diamond ring, don’t get my nails done, get my haircut about four times a year and don’t wear any makeup.
