Somebody turned 7 a few days ago. Fortunately (or not?), I’m still so freaked out about turning 40 that I’m nowhere near as rattled by the arrival of my son’s birthday this year as I was last year.
I’m in the middle of preparing my annual birthday post for Zan, but, in the meanwhile, I just wanted you all to know I’m still alive. Going from having a full-time gig to being semi-unemployed/semi-self-employed whilst trying to sell our house and relocate to Philadelphia has left painfully little time for blogging … but it’s very close to the top of my priority list, so don’t abandon me just yet.
Speaking of my priority list: Oy vey already with my priority list! And where on this list, pray tell, are the “Get a good night’s sleep” and “Relax and have some fun” items, hmmm? HMMM? Do you see them? No? Well, neither do I! GAH!!!

Happy 7th to your son. My oldest isn’t too far behind. He turns 7 in just a few weeks. I’m not handling it nearly as well as you are. But then I didn’t just turn 40.

If you think you are rattled now by your son’s age, just wait until he turns 16 – then watch your hair go completely white overnight…..

I remember when my daughter turned 7…
She’s turning 10 on July 7th…
And I turned 35 this past April…
SO…when I turn 40…I’ll have a 15 year old…

For what its worth, I turned 50 this year and my Grandson turns 3 next week! Grandson..who da thunk that one! But I feel 35, minus the menopause shenanigans!
I was unaware that parents were allowed to have a good nights sleep.. If you ever figure that out, can you share??

I remember when my boy turned seven. It was hard to realize how fast he was growing up. I cried.
This year, he’ll be 27. *sniff*
Oh how I would love to say my oldest is 7…he just graduated from 8th grade last week and is entering High School soon, voice cracking, girl crazy and sleeps alot! Welcome to the teenage years!
